Navy Chief Fire Controlman (SEAL) Jacques J. Fontan, 36, of New Orleans; assigned to SEAL Team 10, Virginia Beach, Va.; killed June 28 when an MH-47 Chinook helicopter crashed while ferrying personnel to a battle against militants in eastern Afghanistan. He is survived by his wife Charissa, his daughter Jourdan, his mother Hazel Rue, father Earl Fontan, stepfather Donald Rue, sisters Suzanne Fontan Gonczy and Cheri Fontan Skop, his brother Jean Paul Fontan and his grandmother Maguerite Helburn Delchamps. A re-burial took place at Arlington National Cemetery in November 2011. There is also a cenotaph atJacksonville Memory Gardens
